“India couldn’t digest how Pakistan went ahead,” Ramiz Raja fresh attack

Ramiz Raja

Former PCB chief, Ramiz Raja launched a fresh attack on India in a recent interview stating that India overhauled their T20 setup after its defeat against Pakistan.

PCB fired Ramiz Raja as the chairman of the cricket board. Najam Sethi has been appointed the new PCB chief. Ramiz’s ouster came after some internal issues among the board members and the selection committee. Further, rumors have it that the selection committee has been fired as well, and Shahid Afridi is the interim chief selector.

Ramiz Raja has been firing shots one after another post his ouster. He made a comeback on his Youtube channel and has not stopped speaking ill about the Pakistan cricket institution ever since. His recent attack came on India in a TV interview with Suno TV.

“India, a billion-dollar industry, was left behind,” Ramiz Raja

Ramiz Raja spoke about the Pakistan cricket team’s performance in white ball cricket under his chairmanship. He said that they left a giant cricketing nation like India behind. He also boasted about the fact that Pakistan featured in the Asia Cup final. Raja further claimed that India made changes in their T20 format set up as they could not digest the fact that they lost to a team like Pakistan.

“We gave outstanding performances in white-ball cricket. We played the Asia Cup final, India didn’t play that. India, a billion-dollar industry, was left behind. They fired their chief selector, selection committee, changed the captain because they couldn’t digest how Pakistan went ahead of them,”

Ramiz Raja further stated that he tried his best to uplift Pakistan cricket. He also claimed that he tried to side with the skipper, Babar Azam, and pushed him to be the best version of himself.

“I tried my level best to keep this team united. I empowered Babar Azam. Cricket is one of those rare sports where captaincy is relevant. If your captain is powerful, results will come, and we have given results,”
