India head coach Dravid and other staff to be rested for Ireland series

Rahul Dravid

India head coach, Rahul Dravid, along with batting coach, Vikram Rathour and bowling coach, Paras Mhambrey will be rested after the West Indies series.

Recently, India dominated the Windies in the 1st Test which they won by an innings and 141 runs. The second Test is scheduled for the 20th of July.

After this, India and West Indies will play a 3-match ODI series and lastly, a 5-match T20I series.

Moreover, India will then travel to Ireland to play a 3-match T20I series starting 18th August and all games will be played in Dublin.

Furthermore, in the absence of Dravid, Rathour, and Mhambrey, VVS Laxman will be the stand-in head coach.

Additionally, the reins of the batting coach could go into the hands of either Sitanshu Kotak or Hrishikesh Kanitkar.

There are two options once again for the role of the bowling coach for the Ireland series. It could be Troy Cooley or Sairaj Bahutule.

Previously, Laxman had gone with the Indian team to Ireland last year for a T20I series.

India expecting the return of Jasprit Bumrah for Ireland series

Meanwhile, all of India’s fans are patiently waiting for the comeback of star pacer, Jasprit Bumrah in India colours.

As per reports, Bumrah can make a comeback in the Ireland series and this would be a great preparation time for him.

If he proves his fitness, he will be an invaluable part of the Asia Cup, the home series against Australia, and finally the ODI World Cup in October-November.

Most probably, Hardik Pandya will once again be leading the T20I side against Ireland. Moreover, Shreyas Iyer can also make a comeback to this series.

However, KL Rahul is still not fit and needs more recovery time before he can be declared fully fit.
