The auction for this year’s IPL is going to be highly competitive as all the franchises will look to buy the best players so as to have a proper combination and balance in the team.

The BCCI had a few days back released the final list of 590 players who will be a part of the auction pool this year. The list contains 228 capped, 355 uncapped and 7 Associate Nations.

Additionally, 370 players are Indian while the remaining 220 are from other countries. Previously, 1214 players had signed themselves up for the auction. However, the BCCI has narrowed down the list and as a result, many of the players were eliminated.

There are, however, three Indian players who may not find a franchise this year. They are Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra and Washington Sundar.

Ishant Sharma has been a part of the Indian Test team for many years now. His last Test was against New Zealand last year. But, as he’s past his prime, he may not be very favorable to any IPL side this year.

The same goes for Amit Mishra although, at 39, he’s still the best spinner and can work wonders for any team if he’s picked. Washington Sundar has fitness issues and hasn’t played international cricket in a long time now. But he may or may not find a franchise this year owing to physical issues.
