The most successful team of the IPL, Mumbai Indians will try out their luck in this year’s auction as they will look to target three specific bowlers for their roster.

They have won five titles under the able captaincy of Rohit Sharma and are also the most followed team just like the RCB.

They failed to qualify for the playoffs last year. The team has retained Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav.

They also have dropped many of their match-winners this year and will look to buy new or the same faces again in the auctions.

Let’s have a look as to which 3 pace bowlers the Mumbai Indians will bid for heavily.

Trent Boult

When he came into the side in 2020, he did exceptionally well with the ball for the Mumbai Indians. He also gave good support to Jasprit Bumrah.

He also remained the second-highest wicket-taker behind Bumrah in the IPL. Mumbai Indians had to release him this year but will bid very heavily on him to get him back in the team.

Tim Southee

Another New Zealand pacer also did well for the Mumbai Indians. He has dramatically changed as a T20 bowler in the past few years.

Southee has 8 wickets to his credit in last year’s ICC T20 World Cup. In the limited-overs series against India, he took the most wickets.

Thus, Mumbai will definitely look to purchase him in the auction.

Lockie Ferguson

The third New Zealand pacer who played for KKR in the second leg of the IPL also impressed everyone with his quick and slow deliveries to confuse batsmen. He showed everyone what he can do with the ball.

Mumbai Indians will try to buy him if they fail to bring back Trent Boult.
