The covid scare for Delhi Capitals has gone from bad to worse.

In recent news, two more cases have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Capitals’ camp. One of them is an overseas player.

This has taken the Delhi Capitals’ covid cases tally to three.

The team will now play their next two fixtures in Mumbai.

BCCI and the IPL Technical Committee have strongly advised teams to maintain social distancing after the completion of the matches.

Usually, players and coaches mingle with each other after a game ends.

As per the latest rules, any player who tests positive for Covid-19 will have to undergo a minimum of 7 days quarantine period.

When the player wants to re-enter the biosecure bubble, they will have to report covid negative reports for two consecutive days.

RT-PCR tests will be taking place within a 24-hour time-frame.

The BCCI and the IPL are in a worrisome situation as they don’t want the tournament to be abandoned just like last year where covid cases surged rapidly in 5 teams, one of which was the Delhi Capitals.

Their then leg-spinner Amit Mishra returned positive reports for two consecutive times in the RT-PCR testing.
