Royal Challengers Bangalore’s newly signed player Dinesh Karthik has given his verdict on New Zealand batsman Devon Conway.
Karthik feels that Conway will shine for Chennai Super Kings throughout the tournament and will be their MVP in the overseas player department.
The Kiwi batter has done outstandingly for himself and is a great scorer with the bat for his national side.
CSK bid heavily for Conway and eventually got him for INR 1 crore.
Conway has so far played 7 Tests, 3 ODIs and 20 T20Is for New Zealand. His runs in all three formats are 767, 225 and 602 respectively.
If we talk about his fifties and hundreds, then he has 3 hundreds, 3 half-centuries and 1 double ton in Tests, 1 hundred and 1 half-century in ODIs and 4 half-centuries in T20Is.
Conway will most probably open the batting with the now fit Ruturaj Gaikwad in this season of the IPL.
Conway also has a great strike rate of 139.3 in T20Is which is beneficial for CSK in the tournament.
