Faf du Plessis, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper in yesterday’s post-match interview said that Harshal Patel is the ‘joker of the pack.’
He further explained that Harshal always wants to be in the mix of things for RCB.
Even Harshal accepted the fact at the post-match press conference that he always wants to bowl the important overs for RCB.
Harshal Patel was fantastic against the Lucknow Super Giants in yesterday’s game where he dismissed Marcus Stoinis.
Although he gave a few wides at the start of his third over, he pulled back things sharply.
Harshal said at the conference that he was not in the least bit nervous.
He further added that he assessed the conditions at the ground and bowled according to that.
Harshal has vastly improved when it comes to assessing the situation. He knew straight away what balls to bowl after seeing the first innings.
He had been splendid in the last season of the IPL as well where he took the joint-highest wickets for RCB, which was 32.
This year also, he has been in prime form for the team which has ensured their place in the second qualifier.
Harshal also got the support of Josh Hazelwood bowling from the other end and who dismissed KL Rahul.
Royal Challengers Bangalore now need to overcome Rajasthan Royals tomorrow.
