Gujarat Titans are looking pretty strong contenders for winning the trophy this year.
They have started off their campaign well by beating Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals.
Mohammed Shami and Lockie Ferguson are the bowlers to be wary of when facing the Gujarat Titans.
Both have paired up well just like Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada for Delhi Capitals last season.
And with the experienced Rashid Khan in their ranks, Gujarat Titans are looking stronger than ever.
Even the players purchased by the franchise show how much they want to form a core bowling unit.
That’s why they have bought quality players such as Shami, Ferguson, Rahul Tewatia, Alzarri Joseph and Yash Dayal.
Although this has left their middle-order a bit vulnerable, the franchise doesn’t mind it one bit.
The team environment has helped both Shami and Ferguson to be themselves and bowl to their full capacity.
Even skipper Hardik Pandya is bowling in his full capacity which is making the Gujarat Titans look a stronger force.
Even Vijay Shankar and Rahul Tewatia have bowled spells in between and are not afraid to bowl important overs during a game.
Shami in the pre-season interview was quite optimistic about Gujarat Titans and said that this season may see new winners of the trophy.
Now with two wins under their belt, this possibility doesn’t seem far away now although it’s still early days of the IPL.
