Delhi Capitals are now undergoing a covid scare in their camp.
Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh returned a covid positive report on 18th April and the franchise has decided not to travel to Pune in such a situation.
Delhi Capitals will now play both their matches in Mumbai against the Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
After testing positive, Marsh was immediately admitted to the hospital where the Delhi Capitals medical team are keeping a close watch on his condition.
Earlier, Delhi Capitals physio Patrick Farhart had also tested positive for covid and isolated himself from the team.
After the outbreak, the franchise’s players will now be tested daily.
Other support staff members who tested positive are in isolation although they are asymptomatic.
The BCCI and the IPL Technical Committee have given all the franchises the operational guidelines in such situations.
So, far there has been no change in the Delhi Capitals match schedule.
The team will play their games as per the original schedule.
The games will be played on the original dates with only a slight shift in venue.
