Australia and Rajasthan Royals’ player Nathan Coulter-Nile has flown back to Australia to start his rehab.
He suffered a side strain in the Royals’ opening game against Sunrisers Hyderabad where he was bowling the final over of the innings.
He pulled through halfway in his follow-up and then did not play for the next two matches.
The Royals physio John Gloster was rather unhappy when he gave the farewell speech for Coulter-Nile.
But, nevertheless he and the whole team wished Coulter-Nile all the very best and said that they were looking forward to his speedy return to the team however much long it takes.
Coulter-Nile was purchased by the Royals for INR 2 crores and has remained a part of the IPL since 2013.
He has 48 wickets from 39 matches with an economy of 7.70.
Nathan Coulter-Nile has been prone to injuries in the recent past.
His pull-out from the IPL is no recent feat. He pulled out of the tournament during the 2014 season when playing for the Delhi Capitals.
Last year also he suffered a calf injury which put him out most of the time from the game.
Rajasthan Royals are yet to name a replacement for Coulter-Nile.
