It was an excellent performance for Shreyas Iyer and Co. as they have beaten the Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets to start their campaign on a high.

KKR won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Wankhede Stadium.

Umesh Yadav was quick in dismissing Ruturaj Gaikwad and debutant Devon Conway.

Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu tried to up the ante for the Super Kings.

CSK at one stage were reeling at 61/5 and it became difficult for them to get going.

The top scorer for the Super Kings was MS Dhoni who hit his first half-century since IPL 2019.

CSK finished off with just a 131/5 off their 20 overs.

For the Knights, it was a pretty easy target and the momentum for it was laid down by Ajinkya Rahane.

Rahane top-scored with 44 and the rest of the batters too chipped in with scores of 20+ to help last year’s runners-up gain a victory over the reigning champs.
