IPL 2022: Post Match Analysis: Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad have finally notched up some points for themselves as they beat Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets.

Starting off, SRH won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Chennai started things at a slow pace with Robin Uthappa and Ruturaj Gaikwad struggling to make runs.

They kept taking only singles and twos and an odd boundary here and there.

The first wicket for the defending champions was that of Uthappa who hit a skier which was caught by Aiden Markram in the deep.

Ruturaj too failed to get going and was cleaned bowled by T Natarajan.

Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu upped the ante and kept the scoreboard ticking for CSK.

Ravindra Jadeja was the last batsman to offer any kind of resistance to the Sunrisers.

After his departure, the tail-enders couldn’t add much and Chennai ended with 154/7 in their 20 overs.

155 was pretty doable for SRH and they did it with style as Abhishek Sharma hit 75 off 50 deliveries.

Kane Williamson and Rahul Tripathi too played contributing knocks and Nicholas Pooran added the finishing touches to give Sunrisers Hyderabad their first win of the season.
