It was a thriller yet again today at Dr DY Patil Stadium where Lucknow Super Giants survived a scare to beat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets.

Lucknow won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Delhi were off to a flier with Prithvi Shaw hitting most of the boundaries while David Warner just hung around at the other end.

Warner could not work his magic in his first game for his original franchise.

Rovman Powell’s stay at the crease did not last for long.

Rishabh Pant then scored 39 off 36 balls to somewhat make the Delhi Capitals score a little defendable.

Sarfaraz Khan joined Pant at the fag end of the innings and together they took the team score to 149/3.

The chase was an easy one for Lucknow as they finished things off.

Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul made the chase look super easy for the Lucknow Super Giants.

Evin Lewis and Deepak Hooda did not trouble the batsmen much and it was youngster Ayush Badoni who finished things off in style for Lucknow Super Giants.

Player of the Match
