Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians fought a game of tooth and nail today.
Starting with the toss, Rishabh Pant won the toss and elected to field against Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai Indians started off with a high as both Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma smashed the DC bowlers for plenty of boundaries.
Kishan made 81 and was Mumbai’s top scorer in the match. Rohit made 41 off 32.
After the dismissal of the openers, only Tilak Verma and Tim David made it to double figures while rest of the batsmen were out cheaply. Mumbai finished off with a score of 177/5 from their 20 overs.
For the Capitals, only Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav chipped in with wickets. Khaleel got 2 while Yadav got 3.
In the second innings, the Capitals got off to a great start with Prithvi Shaw and Tim Seifert playing quickfire innings.
However, Mumbai came back strongly by taking wickets at regular intervals. Delhi was tottering a bit in the middle overs of the match.
It was then Lalit Yadav who joined hands first with Shardul Thakur and then Axar Patel and saw the Delhi Capitals home to register their first win of the tournament.

Mumbai Indians will next play Rajasthan Royals on the 2nd of April at Dr DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai while Delhi Capitals will fight it out with the Gujarat Titans at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
