Lucknow Super Giants have won their 4th match while Mumbai Indians lost their 6th match in a row.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Brabourne Stadium.

It was an innings to behold by skipper KL Rahul who smashed 103 off 60 balls and remained not out throughout the first innings.

Quinton de Kock and Manish Pandey too played contributory knocks that took the team score to 199/4.

Mumbai Indians needed to chase down 200 runs.

Mumbai openers Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma were out once again cheaply.

Dewald Brevis was at his best once again with Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma and Kieron Pollard all smashing boundaries to take the Mumbai Indians closer to the finishing line.

But the fall of wickets didn’t help the cause for Mumbai and they finally finished off at 181/9.

Post Match Reactions

Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians skipper said that the loss is very hard to describe in words. Added that 199 was pretty chaseable on this track and they needed partnerships for that which they didn’t get. Also mentioned that Lucknow has batters right till the end so they wanted their bowlers to perform but didn’t get much. Praised Bumrah’s bowling but was pretty disappointed with the others. Mentioned that they always try to mix and match their 11 but they now need to win games so as to ascertain which 11 is better for them. Praised Rahul for batting till the very end and how Mumbai Indians lack the same skills. Ended by saying that they prepare for all games in a similar way and just enjoy themselves out there. Also mentioned that it is not the end of the road for them as they have the ability to bounce back from the position they are in.
