It was an excellent show by the Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Punjab Kings.

Sunrisers Hyderabad called it right at the toss and decided to bowl first.

It was Shikhar Dhawan who was captaining the side yesterday due to Mayank Agarwal not being available for the match.

But it was not a good start for the Punjab Kings as Shikhar Dhawan was out early.

The sole performer for Punjab was Liam Livingstone who made 60 off 33 balls.

In the bowling department, Sunrisers Hyderabad shone throughout the first innings.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a splendid 4 overs and bagged 3 wickets and giving away only 22 runs.

But the man of the hour was young Umran Malik who threw a fantastic 20th over, not giving any runs and taking a hattrick as well.

He picked up 4/28 in his 4 overs.

Punjab Kings were ultimately all out on 151.

SRH needed just 152 runs which was an average score for them as they are now winning games on the trot.

In the second innings, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a good start with Abhishek Sharma scoring runs for the team.

Kane Williamson failed to make an impact and was out on 8.

Rahul Tripathi too looked in fine touch and Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran once again took the Orange Army home with their power hitting.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the game by 7 wickets.

Player of the Match

Umran Malik for his 4/28 (4).

Post Match Reactions

Shikhar Dhawan, Punjab Kings captain said that Mayank Agarwal is feeling fine and will be available from the next match. Added that they were a few runs short and they lost way too many wickets right at the start which cost them the game. He also added that they had to quickly mould themselves according to the situation. Praised Livingstone and Shahrukh Khan for batting brilliantly. Mentioned that the pitch had extra bounce but they failed to capitalize on it. Ended by saying that they will have a chat about getting early starts in the next game and look forward to improving from their mistakes.
