IPL 2022: Sourav Ganguly lauds everyone after the end of this season

As the 2022 season of the IPL has finally finished, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly thanked everyone who was a part and parcel of the tournament.

He also thanked all the 10 IPL teams who were part of the IPL.

Ganguly gave special congratulations to the Gujarat Titans who won their maiden trophy in their first appearance.

In the final, Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets to lift the IPL trophy.

Taking to Twitter, the BCCI President also thanked the four hosts for giving out excellent games throughout the season.

The four boards were MCA, Maharashtra, CAB and GCA.

In the final of the IPL, more than 1 lakh people flooded Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In other news, BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced a cash prize of INR 1.25 crores for the curators and groundsmen of all the six venues.

Shah said that these people work behind the scenes and remain overlooked and that they work day in and day out to keep the grounds fresh.

That’s why the BCCI has decided to award all six stadiums with a cash prize of INR 1.25 crores for their splendid work.
