The IPL 2022 Mega Auctions was a gruelling one for all 10 teams participating this year as 386 players were bought by all the franchises.

However, 204 players went unsold in the auction.

Sreesanth was one of them. He had listed himself in the auction at the base price of INR 50 lakhs.

Not only Sreesanth, but other big names such as Suresh Raina, Eoin Morgan, Steve Smith and Aaron Finch did not find any franchises this season.

Sreesanth had listed in 2021 auctions as well but went unsold.

After not being sold this year also, he took to Twitter, where he shared a 15-second clip of him singing ‘Ruk Jaana Nahi Tu Kahin Haar Ke’.

The tweet immediately became viral and garnered a lot of views on social media.

Sreesanth has been playing competitive cricket for Kerala since 2020.

Sreesanth played for the Rajasthan Royals, the now-defunct Kochi Tuskers Kerala and also for Punjab Kings in the IPL. He has 40 wickets to his name in the league and has a career-best figure of 3/29.

He also got embroiled in a spot-fixing scandal during the sixth season of the IPL when he was playing with the Rajasthan Royals.

Sreesanth faced a lifetime ban after the scandal from BCCI.

After many years, the board lifted his ban and he now plays for Kerala.
