As per the latest information from the BCCI and NCA, Mumbai Indians’ star batsman Suryakumar Yadav will most likely not feature in his franchise’s opening game against Delhi Capitals.

The fixture will be taking place at the Brabourne Stadium on the 27th of March.

During the West Indies series, the batsman sustained a hairline fracture to his thumb.

He is at the NCA in Bangalore and is doing pretty well according to a senior BCCI official.

As he is under rehab, the official stated that BCCI’s medical team will also keep a check on the batsman.

This is a precautionary measure on the part of the BCCI to keep the batsman match ready.

Suryakumar will participate in the second game of the IPL against Rajasthan Royals.

Mumbai Indians will play their second game against the Rajasthan Royals on the 2nd of April.

Mumbai Indians retained Suryakumar for INR 8 crores.
