Former skipper of India and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli, during a photoshoot moment, chose his two favourite moments of the IPL.

In one of these moments, AB de Villiers gets a prime mention.

Kohli is the only player to have played for a single franchise throughout the 14 editions of the IPL. He captained the side from 2013 to 2021.

He even led the team to the finals of the 2016 tournament where they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The first moment that Kohli chose was the match against Delhi Capitals in Raipur.

Both Kohli and AB de Villiers had scored half-centuries to chase down 139 with 11 balls to spare.

The second moment was qualifier 1 against Gujarat Lions.

In this match also, AB de Villiers struck and made a 91-run partnership with Iqbal Abdulla.

In the same year, India faced West Indies in the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium. That one also was a special moment for Kohli.

In this year’s IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore are being led by Faf du Plessis where they have won 2 and lost 1 match.

They started their campaign with a loss to Punjab Kings and thereafter have recovered to register two wins on the trot against Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals.

They are currently in 6th position with 4 points in their kitty.
