India’s senior spinner, Ravindra Jadeja is all set to make his comeback after recovering from a knee injury that he sustained last November.

He has currently camped himself at Lucknow in a hotel where he is undergoing his quarantine period and will be able to join the team if his Covid reports come negative.

However, Virat Kohli will not be available for the 3-match T20I series against Sri Lanka as he has been rested for the same.

He will, however, make a comeback in the 2-match Test series to play his 100th Test match. But, if he takes an extended break, then he will most likely play his 100th Test at Bengaluru.

Apart from Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah will also see a return to India colours.

Both Shami and Bumrah did not feature in the West Indies series at home.

BCCI will decide the Test squad in a day or two and will also decide the next Test captain of India.

Rumours are rife that Rohit Sharma will be the next Test captain.

Virat Kohli had stepped down from Test captaincy after India lost the 3-match Test series against South Africa and since then the position has been left vacant.

If all the members assent to Rohit Sharma, then he will become captain of all three formats of the game.
