Jaiswal Emphasizes Mindset Impact: Insights from Rohit, Virat, and Ajju

Kohli

Having showcased impressive performances in domestic cricket, young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was initially named in India’s World Test Championship squad against Australia, although he did not get a chance to make his debut. However, his outstanding performance has earned him a call-up once again, this time for the two-match series against West Indies. With senior player Cheteshwar Pujara dropped, Jaiswal is expected to feature in the playing XI. Jaiswal also shared his interaction with senior batsmen Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ajinkya Rahane, highlighting their advice to maintain a positive mindset, embrace the learning process, and find joy in advancing his game.

“They (Rohit, Kohli, Rahane) have an incredibly strong mindset and great clarity of things. They advised me that it’s up to me how I take my game forward as although there will be learning, but in the end, it’s me who has to go out there and perform. There’s a lot to learn and I hope I keep enjoying the process,”

Jaiswal said.

“Absolutely it’s all about the mindset as Rohit bhaiya, Virat bhaiya and Ajju bhaiya have told me. It’s all about how I am able to adapt to the situation and conditions and win the game for my team. The intention is always to think what’s the best I can do for my team,”

he further added.

I keep myself motivated all the time: Jaiswal

Following his exceptional performance in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL), Yashasvi Jaiswal has garnered support from several ex-cricketers, who believe he will soon make his debut for India. Some even speculate that he could secure a spot in India’s World Cup squad, scheduled for later this year. Demonstrating his talent and determination, Jaiswal stated that he remains constantly motivated to win matches, regardless of the situation.

“I keep myself motivated all the time that I can win games for my team from any situation. That gives me the confidence to think positive and have faith in myself,”

Jaiswal concluded.
