West Indies have chosen their ODI team for the upcoming tours of the Netherlands and Pakistan.

Jason Holder has been rested from both the series so that he can manage his workload.

Similarly, Evin Lewis did not find a place on the team as he has not cleared his fitness criteria.

However, West Indies have added new faces to the team such as Jayden Seales, Shermon Lewis and Keacy Carty.

Shimron Hetmyer too will not be a part of these tours as he will be at home with the birth of his first child.

West Indies chief selector Desmond Haynes gave a press release.

He stated that the inclusion of new players into the side will give them the confidence to play in overseas conditions as well as prepare them for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023.

West Indies will kick off the tour with the Netherlands which is the maiden ODI series between the two sides.

VRA Cricket Ground will host the ODI series from May 31 to June 4.

After this, West Indies will move on to Pakistan where they will again play a 3-match ODI series that will take place in Rawalpindi from June 8 and end on June 12.

Both of these series are a part of the ICC ODI Super League which will see teams sealing a spot in the top 7 for the automatic selection for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
