Prithvi Shaw scored a mammoth 379 runs as he broke numerous records in the Ranji Trophy match against Assam. Shaw scored 379 in just 383 balls which is quite remarkable. Shaw scored the second-highest individual score in innings in Ranji Trophy behind BB Nimbalkar’s unbeaten 443 runs.
He became the highest run scorer for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy as broke the record previously held by Sanjay Manjrekar. Majrekar had scored 377 against Hyderabad in 1991.
Seeing his incredible innings, Jay Shah, the secretary of the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) congratulated Prithvi for his splendid knock.

Prithvi Shaw thanked the BCCI secretary on Twitter. The 23-year-old batter wrote in the tweet that he will keep working hard as he was encouraged by the words of Jay Shah.
He tweeted: “Thank you so much @JayShah sir. Your words of encouragement means a lot. Will keep working hard.”
