In some recent news for Indian cricket, BCCI has appointed a new head physio for the national team.

He is Kamlesh Jain who is currently the head physio at Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.

Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Jay Shah interviewed Jain a few days ago for the post.

Jain impressed one and all and received oral confirmation from the three of them.

If he gets selected, which he will be shortly, Jain will replace Nitin Patel who has been appointed the head of Sports Science and Sports Medicine at NCA earlier this year.

Yogesh Parmar will continue to remain with Team India as well as the team has multiple assignments in different countries this year.

Kamlesh Jain did not give a comment about the appointment but sources from KKR have confirmed the development.

He became head physio for KKR for the last three seasons, since 2020.

Previously, Jain was assistant physio to Andrew Leipus for seven years.

A Kolkata Knight Riders official expressed his pleasure on the selection of Jain as head physio as well as Brendon McCullum’s selection as Test coach for the England cricket team.
