Kane Richardson becomes part of Queensland; Billy Stanlake departs

Australia has picked and deselected some players from their domestic teams this year.

Kane Richardson, Australia’s go-to bowler in the limited-overs format has been picked by Queensland.

Richardson has left Western Australia and will be moving his family to the Gold Coast.

This inclusion of Richardson has given the departure call for Billy Stanlake.

Stanlake, 27 will now join and play for Tasmania from the next domestic season.

Queensland has also given Gurinder Sandhu a contract this year. Sandhu, who was without a contract till last year, will now play as a full-fledged contracted player this season.

Other players who have joined Queensland this year are Liam Guthrie, the left-arm seamer and Jack Clayton who had an excellent T20 season playing for Brisbane Heat in the BBL.

They have also given a full contract to Sam Truloff who has risen to great ranks in Australia’s domestic season in the past four years.
