Karthik and his witty reply to a Question about his 2019 WC Semi-Final knock

Karthik

Dinesh Karthik will be a commentator for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting on February 9. Before the series started, he participated in a Q&A session with fans. One fan tried to tease DK by posting a picture of his performance in the 2019 World Cup semi-final match against New Zealand. DK scored 6 runs in 25 balls, and India lost the match.

DK, known for his humor, was not upset by the fan’s post. He humorously asked the fan to delete the picture.

Karthik will be a commentator in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Dinesh Karthik made a comeback to the Indian cricket team after three years following a successful IPL season with RCB. He was a designated finisher and had a great performance, scoring 330 runs with an average of 55 and a strike rate of 183.33. This earned him a recall to the T20I squad. He made a comeback for India and scored his first T20I half-century against South Africa. He helped India reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup in Australia.

Dinesh Karthik is preparing for his home debut as a Border-Gavaskar Trophy commentator. The Indian batter, who made his Test debut against Australia at home, will take on a new role as a series commentator. The Royal Challengers Bangalore star will join the commentary team as India prepares to face Australia in a four-match Test series at home. Dinesh Karthik returns to commentary as Rohit Sharma and the team prepare for the WTC finals dress rehearsal.

The first Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test match will be played in Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur. Both India and Australia are in the first and the second spot on the World Test Championship points table. The men in blue led by Rohit Sharma are in with a chance of making it to their 2nd consecutive WTC final. Last time around India were defeated by New Zealand in the WTC final.
