Kevin Pietersen suggests Delhi Capitals should get Virat Kohli back to Delhi

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen shared his opinion on Twitter that Delhi Capitals should rope in Virat Kohli into their team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). A video of Kohli meeting his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma went viral before Royal Challengers Bangalore’s match against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The video showed Kohli touching the feet of his coach in a heartfelt moment, followed by a chat between the two.

Pietersen tweeted that Delhi should make a big transfer move and bring Virat to their team. The suggestion came amidst Kohli’s recent struggles in the IPL with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kohli has been under pressure for his below-par performances with the bat and his captaincy skills.

Pietersen’s tweet stirred up a lot of buzz among cricket fans. With some in favor of the suggestion and others opposing it. It is unlikely that Kohli would be transferred to another team as he has been with RCB since the inception of the IPL. Kohli has been the face of RCB and is also the franchise’s leading run-scorer.

The next match for RCB is against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, while Delhi Capitals will play against Chennai Super Kings in their next game of the IPL 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Messi, Rolando changed clubs in their careers too: Kevin

“The wonderful footage of Virat saying hello to his childhood coach made me think…BRING VIRAT HOME! Delhi should make a huge transfer play and bring VIRAT back home next season. Beckham, Ronaldo, Messi, etc. all moved in their careers. Thoughts?”

Pietersen tweeted.

It is to be noted that Kohli had told in a podcast that he’ll never leave RCB. He said he doesn’t see himself playing for any other franchise.
