Dinesh Lad is one of the most successful coaches in India, having coached the likes of Rohit Sharma and Shardul Thakur.

He has even coached his son Siddhesh Lad who went on to captain Mumbai in the domestic sphere.

Thando Ntini is a left-arm batsman and a right-arm pacer.

He was a part of the U-19 South Africa team in 2018 and has also played for Western Province.

In 14 first-class matches, he has scored 1,038 runs and bagged 32 wickets. Along with this, in 14 T20 games, he has made 409 runs and scalped 16 wickets.

Dinesh Lad, in an interview, said that Thando is a great talent and he will surely do well for South Africa in the future.

He revealed that Thando actually came through one of Lad’s Railway students.

Makhaya Ntini contacted one of Lad’s students and asked whether there is any good coach in India and the student directed him to Lad.

Makhaya wanted his son to train under the best coach and that’s why he made the contact.

Lad also revealed that they are not giving Thando any luxuries and he is residing in a standard hotel.

He is also helping Thando improve his batting and bowling under his training.

For his batting, Lad is training him at his ground in suburban Borivali while for bowling he has shifted Thando to Kandivali where the facilities are better.
