Massive boost to India ahead of the Border Gavaskar Trophy

Indian National Team

India have a massive boost ahead of the all important Border Gavaskar Trophy starting from 9th February. Rockstar of the Indian team, Ravindra Jadeja was seen bowling in the nets for the first time since his injury.

Though Jadeja has been included in the squad, he has been told to play at least one Ranji Trophy match to be included in the first test match. Jadeja will most probably play in the Ranji Trophy for Saurashtra against Tamil Nadu.

Jadeja has been ruled out of international cricket since the Asia Cup last year. He missed the World Cup due to a knee injury. His absence was a massive blow to India as he is a very crucial member of the national side. Jadeja last played for India in the Asia Cup against Hong Kong.

Jadeja was the man of the series when in the 2017 Border Gavaskar series. He took 25 wickets in the series and scored 125 runs to give India a memorable 2-1 victory over the strong Australian side. He will be pivotal to India’s chances this time too, as he gives the side a much needed balance.
