Recently, former Australia men’s head coach, Justin Langer gave an all-explosive interview.

In the interview, he called out cricket’s ‘cowards’ and was quite brutal on the podcast as well.

Additionally, Langer also revealed his conversations with Aaron Finch and Pat Cummins before he resigned as head coach in February.

However, Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc has said that Langer’s comments are just ‘outside noise’.

Says Starc,

It doesn’t bother me.

Adding further, he says,

I’d like to think I’ve got a pretty good relationship with Justin. We exchanged a few text messages post-World Cup so far as I’m concerned, I’m pretty comfortable with how my relationship is with JL.

Starc also said that he doesn’t focus too much on the media.

This series is going to be the first on Australian soil after Langer’s exit as head coach.

Additionally, Perth will also host its first-ever Test since December 2019.

Langer has hit out at the Australian cricket board for the lack of support that he received during his coaching days.

I spoke to Pat Cummins. He said to me about five times, ‘This might be brutally honest.’ I said, ‘Pat, there is nothing brutal about your feedback. What is brutal is I’m hearing it behind my back through the media or through sources. No one’s telling me. Tell me.

Langer is also disheartened and angry for having so less support from the people around him.

Additionally, he is also excited about the Test series against the West Indies and cannot wait to get in on the action.

I’ve been in touch with these guys ever since I stopped being in the team and I can’t wait for the Test match to start next week, and the reason I can’t wait is I haven’t seen them. I haven’t seen the boys since I finished in February.
