Moeen Ali gets visa clearance, will join CSK camp today

Moeen Ali - Chennai Super Kings - CSK

The Chennai Super Kings have finally got some respite and happy news as they are all set to welcome their English all-rounder Moeen Ali.

Ali has secured his visa documents and will fly to India today and will straightaway go into isolation when he reaches Mumbai.

His father Munir Ali confirmed the news of his son’s visa clearance and CEO Kasi Viswanathan too welcomed the news.

Moeen however, will miss CSK’s first game against the Kolkata Knight Riders on the 26th of March. It was because of the visa issue that this is happening.

The Indian embassy did not clear Moeen’s visa for 3 weeks because of which he became unavailable for the first game.

Moeen has been a part of the Chennai Super Kings and the IPL for the past three seasons and has never gotten into any trouble previously.

This was a first for the all-rounder as well as the franchise.
