Moeen Ali has high praise for MS Dhoni as he calls him the “best captain”. Moeen said that the wicketkeeper has helped him improve his game and technique. Moeen has played under 3 world cup winning captains: Eoin Morgan, MS Dhoni, and Jos Butler.
“He is a people’s captain”
“MS is probably the best captain ever lived. He is a brilliant guy, and there’s so much about him. He talks a lot about cricket and talks a lot of sense. Very approachable and has really helped my game the way I play now. He gave me confidence. He is certainly a people’s captain.”
Dhoni has won all international trophies including the T20 World Cup, 50 Over World Cup, and the Champions Trophy. He has also won the IPL 4 times and a champions league title once. He has a win percentage of 58.85 in the Indian Premier League.
“CSK is the best franchise”
Moeen Ali has been a part of 2 IPL franchises including Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Ali joined CSK in 2021 and has been an important player for CSK since joining the side.
“First of all, Chennai Super Kings is the best franchise I have played, due to the way the entire set-up is. They have been running that way for a very long time successfully and they know what it takes to win.”
Moeen Ali is looking forward to playing in front of a huge crowd this year.
