Mohammad Siraj credits KL Rahul for acessing the Eden Garden pitch

Mohammad Siraj has been instrumental since his return to the ODI side. The fast bowler is consistently taking wickets in the powerplay and has been the game changer for India in the first 10 overs.
Siraj credited KL Rahul saying that the wicketkeeper quickly accessed the pitch and advised him to bowl back of length deliveries. KL told Siraj that the ball is stopping on the pitch and not coming easily on the bat. This reaped rewards for the bowler as he picked 3 wickets in the match ending with figures of 3-30 in his 5.4 overs.
“The ball wasn’t coming out quick enough, and there wasn’t enough swing. So the plan was to bowl stump to stump to keep the pressure from one end, hoping to get wickets and help the other bowlers,” said Siraj”
The outfield is very quick so the message to the batters is just watch and play the ball,” said Siraj.
