Nasser Hussain said  it’s important Anderson has that impact on the game.

Nasser Hussain on James Anderson

“He is having no impact at the moment in this series. For England to win here, Jimmy Anderson has to find his rhythm. He has to get wickets. He is bowling ok without the wickets but not looking like getting wickets. Four wickets in over 120 overs in the series is not the Anderson that we know,” said Nasser Hussain while speaking to Cricbuzz.

He further added that Joe Root could be the spinner in the absence of Moeen Ali.

“And with Moeen (Ali) off the field, though Joe Root can bowl a bit of spin, the seamers will have to bowl more and more. So it’s important Anderson has that impact on the game,” Nasser Hussain further added.

Moeen Ali got injured in the last match of the test series after getting dismissed by Todd Murphy. The all-rounder did not take the field on the Day Two due to a groin injury. The Australian team won the toss and elected to bowl first in the last match of the series. England scored 283 runs in the first innings and The Aussies also outscored England’s score in the first innings.
