Naveen-ul-Haq took four wicket haul against Mumbai Indians in Chepauk. The Eliminator match between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants happened in Chennai. Mumbai Indians were made to bat first after losing the toss. Krunal Pandya chose to chase in the high pressure game. However, the decision got back fired as it became difficult to bat as the game went on. Akash Madhwal from Mubai picked up 5 wickets by giving away just five runs.

Sunil Gavaskar on Naveen-ul-Haq

“He has had issues with the crowd. You should celebrate by chucking your ears. This is the time he has got a wicket. He has got to listen to the applause. When somebody scores a hundred also, don’t chuck your ears. Listen to the applause, chuck your hand behind the ears, and say ‘Hello, now can I hear you?’. That’s how the celebration should be. That’s old me saying this, by the way,” Gavaskar said on air.

The celebration was to shut the noise made by the fans to troll Naveen-ul-Haq. However, the fast bowler’s performance went in vain as their team could not win the match and qualify for the next match. Furthermore, the fast bowler does not take part in the ODI as his goal his work in T20s only. He is not in the Afghanistajn’s latest ODI squad. Maybe, he might play the ODI’s as there is a world cup this year. Lucknow Super Giants got eliminated in the eliminator for the second consecutive year. But this year without their captain KL Rahul.
