Naveen- ul- Haq prone to engage in fights on the field, even in other leagues

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir got into a dispute after the match over Afghanistan cricketer Naveen-ul-Haq. Kohli first had a conversation with Naveen. Gambhir got into that trouble. Not only Kohli, Naveen has been involved in a dispute with three other cricketers before. In total, while playing in T20 leagues of four countries, he has been involved in fights on the field at various times.

Before this, Naveen had trouble on the field in others leagues as well. Those are Australia’s Big Bash, Lankan Premier League and Pakistan Super League. Naveen had a duel with Darcy Shot, that went physical, in the Big Bash. He had a dispute with Thisara Perera in the Lankan Premier League. In the Pakistan Super League, Naveen first had a dispute with pacer Mohammad Amir. Later he got into trouble with team captain Shahid Afridi. That mess went far beyond the match.

Afridi later opened up about the controversy. He said,

“One should respect the opponent in the game. There can be tension on the field. But if someone says that we have put you all under the shoe, that is too bad. Naveen spoke badly. If you behave like this, you won’t go far.”

Naveen- ul- Haq triggered the dispute that took shape with Virat and Gambhir

Kohli’s dispute with Naveen started during the IPL match on Monday. At the end of Lucknow’s innings, the Afghan bowler had an argument with Virat. The umpires have to come forward to handle the situation. That feud continued after the match. Kohli cheered excitedly as NaveenulHaq got out. He took off his hat and threw it on the ground. Naveen did not take it well. So the foreign cricketer from Lucknow said something to Kohli while shaking hands. Kohli says something in return. After that Gambhir came there. He says something to Kohli. After that, the dispute escalated.

Seeing the situation getting heated, the rest of the cricketers and support staff of the two teams came there. Both Kohli and Gambhir are from Delhi. Lucknow spinner Amit Mishra and assistant coach Vijay Dahiya also played for Delhi. That’s why they know Kohli, Gambhir well. They are more zealous and separate the two people. Lucknow captain Lokesh Rahul was also there. Kohli was taken away by RCB captain Faf du Plessis.
