Kohli

Recently, in Perth, a stranger broke into Kohli’s hotel room and shared a video on social media.

This set off things in motion as the former India skipper immediately posted on his Instagram handle the same video.

Moreover, the hotel has apprehended the persons in charge of the incident and have also removed the video.

Additionally, they have now issued a full apology to Virat Kohli as well.

Reads the hotel’s statement,

The safety and privacy of our guests is our number one priority, and we are incredibly disappointed this incident has occurred. We unreservedly apologise to the guest involved and will continue to take the necessary steps to ensure this remains an isolated incident.

In the video, it can be seen that the unidentified individual is scanning Virat’s room and taking a video.

Virat wrote a caption along with the video which goes like this,

I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that.

Adding further, he said,

But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.

The hotel has taken swift action on the issue.
