Prasidh Krishna on injuries

“I’m not someone who gets excited or nervous about anything. I take it in a balanced way. As fast bowlers, you sign up for injuries, you sign up for hard-working days, you sign up for long days… all that is a part of our game. I mean, it’s not easy when everybody is playing a lot of cricket. There’s so much happening and you’re sitting at home not really being available for selection, but I was optimistic,”. Prasidh Krishna told ESPNCricinfo.

The fast bowler is currently in his rehab process under the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)  at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. He had a lumbar spine injury during the Zimbabwe series in 2022. The injury made him unavailable for competitive cricket for more than a year long time. Prasidh Krishna was not available for the Indian Premier League 2023. Rajasthan Royals opted for replacement and Sandeep Sharma played in place of him in the squad.

The young pacer has taken 25 wickets in 14 One Day International matches at an average of 23.92 and an economy of 5.32.
