India and Mumbai opener Prithvi Shaw in an interview revealed that he is not happy with his performances in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season.

Shaw has not been able to perform consistently in the tournament and has a string of low scores to his credit.

Shaw is the captain of the Mumbai side but is facing a lot of trouble playing in the tournament.

He last played for India in a T20I match against Sri Lanka last year in July.

His comeback Test in Australia was a bitter one as he made scores of 0 and 4.

India now has strong openers in the form of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal with Priyank Panchal waiting in the wings for his opportunity.

Shaw has also faced injuries and a certain doping offence that have marked patches on his cricketing career.

His current string of scores in the Ranji Trophy includes 1 against Saurashtra, 9 and 44 against Goa and 53 against Odisha.

Shaw is well aware of the fact that he needs to build up his game from the scratch once again if he wants a place in the Indian team but is so far happy with his progress.

He will now be shifting from the red-ball to the white-ball format as he will be playing for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL this year.

After the IPL, he will again have to adjust himself in the Ranji Trophy in which he will be able to practice for only a few days before the knockout games.
