Pakistan Cricket Board chief Ramiz Raja is all set to present his case to the ICC on the 9th of April.

According to the PCB chief, India-Pakistan fixtures need to make a comeback soon as they have long been held hostage to politics between the two countries.

But, he has also expressed concern over the broadcasters’ disinterest to show bilateral series as they are boring and one-dimensional.

India and Pakistan have stopped playing bilateral series for a long time and only clash in multilateral events.

Ramiz Raja is also of the opinion that India-Pakistan clashes are the most watched on television.

He also stated that the recent series against Australia at home has ensured that Pakistan is very safe.

He also added that franchise cricket cannot substitute international bilateral series every time.

The case has got Cricket Australia’s stamp of approval, but BCCI, ECB and ICC are yet to vote for it.

In the end, he said that he wanted to add the auction model to Pakistan Super League.

This will make players choose the PSL over IPL in the future.

But he got misquoted when it came to the economy part and rectified it by saying that he knows where India and Pakistan’s economies are but was sure-footed about bringing in the auction model to PSL.
