Ravi Shastri shares his piece of advice for India ahead of WTC Final

International Test Championship

Ravi Shastri, the former Indian coach shares his advice to the Indian team who going to play World Test Championship Final. India and Australia going to clash in The Oval on June 7th. Both the teams qualified for the finals due to their position in the points table.

Ravi Shastri said that

“India did very well in England last time round because you had Bumrah, you had Shami, you had Shardul Thakur, and you had Mohammed Siraj. So you had four fast bowlers. One is an all-rounder there, Shardul, that is a very good combination in England. Especially from India’s point of view. It allows someone like Rohit Sharma to control the game far better. At times in England, you need to slow it down as well. And suddenly it can get overcast,” Ravi Shastri said in ICC Review.

Ravi Shastri further added that

“You have got horses for courses, you’ve got all bases covered. But then if the quality is not good in your fast-bowling attack. If you think the guys are older, they are not as quick as they used to be, and the form is a little doubtful, then you play that second spinner because Ashwin is quality, as is Jadeja,” Ravi Shastri added further.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the leading run scorers for India in this WTC cycle. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has an average of more than 50 in this WTC. He also played a vital role in the last WTC cycle as well. Ravi Shastri says the combination will help to slow sown things in England.
