Throughout their history in the IPL, RCB have had some outstanding performances from their star players, particularly Virat Kohli. He is the leading run scorer in IPL history and the only batter to surpass the 7000-run mark.
Nevertheless, RCB is the only team that has played all seasons with just one Indian player who scored over 1000 runs for the franchise. In contrast, legendary overseas players like AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle were prolific run-scorers for RCB.
However, despite Kohli’s incredible performances, no other Indian batter has been able to cross the 1000-run mark for the franchise. Rahul Dravid, former Indian skipper and batting icon, is RCB’s second leading Indian run-scorer, but with only 898 IPL runs.
Kolkata Knight Riders lead the list with most Indian batters scoring 1000+ runs for the franchise
Kolkata Knight Riders have the most Indian batters who scored more than 1000 runs for the team in IPL. With nine players on the list, followed by Chennai Super Kings with seven players. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals are tied at seven as well. Rajasthan Royals have five players who have crossed the milestone. While Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have four and two players, respectively.
Gautam Gambhir leads the run-scoring charts for KKR, followed by Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Yusuf Pathan, Shubman Gill, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik, Sourav Ganguly, and Manoj Tiwary. Suresh Raina tops the chart for CSK, followed by MS Dhoni, Murali Vijay, Ravindra Jadeja, Ambati Rayudu, Subramaniam Badrinath, and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Mumbai Indians have Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Suryakumar Yadav, Sachin Tendulkar, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Krunal Pandya on the list.
For Delhi Capitals, the list includes Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Virender Sehwag, Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Gautam Gambhir, and Dinesh Karthik. Sanju Samson leads the list for Rajasthan Royals, followed by Ajinkya Rahane, Rahul Dravid, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Yusuf Pathan. KL Rahul tops the chart for Punjab Kings, followed by Mayank Agarwal, Wriddhiman Saha, and Mandeep Singh. Shikhar Dhawan and Manish Pandey are the only two Indian batters on the list for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
