RCB skipper Virat Kohli fined for slow over rate against RR

Despite winning against Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s cricketers suffered a financial loss. Captain Virat Kohli suffered the most. He captained RCB against Rajasthan on Sunday. Faf du Plessis is being used by RCB as an impact cricketer. The authorities fined Virat Kohli for bowling at a slow over rate against Rajasthan.

RCB was penalized for slow over rate for the second time this season. Captain Virat has therefore been fined 24 lakh rupees. Also, the cricketers in Bangalore’s first XI will have to pay Rs 6 lakh or 25 percent of the match fee (whichever is less). According to the IPL,

“Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals faced each other in Bangalore on April 23. RCB captain Virat Kohli was fined heavily for bowling at a slow over rate in that match.”

Virat was fined Rs 24 lakh for committing the same mistake a second time. Along with that, the cricketers of the team have also been fined. RCB’s announced captain du Plessi. But in the last two matches he is being played as an impact player. The team made Virat their captain. Because of that, Virat was fined 24 lakh rupees.

Batting first in the match, RCB scored 189 runs. du Plessy and Glenn Maxwell made a partnership of 127 runs. However Virat got a golden duck. In reply, Rajasthan went down to bat for 182 runs. RCB won by 7 runs.
