RCB also give a tough fight to CSK in the second innings

On the other hand, in the second innings, Royal Challengers Bangalore put up an excellent performance against CSK.

However, they fell short by just 8 runs in the end as they fell like a house of cards towards the end of the game.

Furthermore, the main stalwarts of the RCB innings were Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell.

Moreover, the duo perished when trying to up the ante against CSK which cost them the game.

While Faf du Plessis scored 62 runs from 33 balls, Maxwell answered back with 76 runs from 36 balls for RCB.

On the other hand, Matheesha Pathirana gave just four runs in the 18th over to help CSK settle in the driver’s seat.

However, even after losing du Plessis and Maxwell, RCB was pretty much in the game.

Early on, RCB lost Virat Kohli and Mahipal Lomror in the span of just one over and were under pressure.

That’s how RCB lost their third game of the season and is now languishing in seventh position in the points table while CSK has climbed up to 3rd place.
