Rishabh Pant on his feet; crutches thrown away, recovery in process

Rishabh Pant gave happy news for cricket lovers during IPL. The wicketkeeper-batter walked without crutches for the first time since a car accident last December. Rishabh Pant shared the video of walking without crutches with his fans on social media.

After about four months, Pant stood on his feet again. The young wicketkeeper-batter was able to walk without any help. A few days ago, Pant came to Arun Jaitley stadium to watch the Delhi Capitals match with crutches. Special arrangements were made for him by the officials of the Delhi Cricket Association. Pant has started training to improve his fitness during the IPL. However, it will still take several days for him to return to the field. He can’t play in the final of the World Test Championship. He has no chance of playing in the one-day World Cup.

Pant will come back to crease within a year or two: Ganguly

David Warner is leading Delhi Capitals in IPL this time as Pant is not able to play. The owners of the Delhi franchise are in regular contact with Pant. Delhi Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly said,

“Pant has been spoken to twice. He is going through a very difficult time. He is trying to recover as quickly as possible after the injury and surgery for him. Hope to see Pant play for India again in a year or two.”

Since the surgery, Pant has regularly updated his progress on social media. That’s how Pant shared the video of walking without crutches with his fans. Cricket lovers wished him a speedy recovery. However, when he will be able to return to the field is still uncertain.
