Rohit Sharma and Mahela Jayawardene talk about Mumbai Indians’ plan ahead in the IPL

In a pre-tournament press conference, Mumbai Indians skipper and head coach, Rohit Sharma and Mahela Jayawardene talked about team dynamics.

They first talked about Hardik Pandya and his contributions to the Mumbai franchise.

Pandya will now be leading the Gujarat Titans. Similarly, Hardik’s brother Krunal will now be playing for Lucknow Super Giants.

They then went over the batting lineup of the team that includes both experienced and new players. Some of the names that will be Mumbai Indians’ core are Rohit Sharma, Ishan, Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, Tilak Verma and Tim David.

Both Rohit and Jayawardene said that they will try to provide a comfortable environment to all batsmen who are new to the side.

In the pace department for Mumbai, only Bumrah is their experienced bowler retained. Other new faces to have entered the Mumbai camp are Tymal Mills, Jaydev Unadkat, Riley Meredith and Daniel Sams.

Jofra Archer will come in the next edition of the IPL.

Rohit and Jayawardene also talked about their roadmap in the tournament and how will they overcome all the obstacles to become winners once again.
