India skipper, Rohit Sharma has hit back severely at critics for calling his team ‘overconfident’.

After winning the first two Tests, India is now on the backfoot after losing the third Test at Indore by 9 wickets.

Rohit has called all the outside comments ‘rubbish’ and is not bothering about any of it.

India will look to clinch the series 3-1 against Australia and also book their spot in the WTC final.

Moreover, after losing the third Test in Indore, former India head coach, Ravi Shastri accused India of being ‘a little complacency, a little bit of overconfidence.’

Says Rohit,

Honestly, when you win two games and people on the outside feel that we are overconfident, it’s absolutely rubbish, because you want to do your best in all four games.

Rohit calls his side ‘ruthless’ rather than ‘arrogant’

Moreover, some critics have also felt that India has become arrogant after winning two Tests on the trot.

India has also been able to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after winning the first two Tests.

However, Rohit has stated that his side is ‘ruthless’ and not ‘arrogant’ in any way.

Furthermore, Rohit was quite angry with all the latest criticism that came his and his team’s way.

Adding further, Rohit says,

Ravi himself has been in this dressing room, he knows what sort of mindset we have.

While India lost the third Test on a heavily turning pitch at Indore, Rohit feels that the Ahmedabad track will be a better-suited one for India.

Also, the ground at Ahmedabad is now one of the world’s biggest stadiums.

Additionally, he is now tired of the talk of pitches.

How challenging the pitches are? How much is it turning? How much is it seaming? We are trying to keep all of that away.
