Rohit Sharma got 16 ducks in IPL; his struggle continues.

Mahela Jayawardene - Rohit Sharma - Mumbai Indians

Rohit Sharma is not present in the familiar form this IPL. Mumbai Indians captain is not getting any runs with the bat. Like the Punjab Kings match, Rohit got out for no run against Chennai Super Kings. With that, Rohit set a shameful example of having 16 ducks in IPL.

Rohit has been the most successful captain in the history of IPL. Under his leadership, Mumbai won five times. This statistic can make Rohit proud. However, another precedent in IPL can put him to shame. Rohit set the precedent of being dismissed for the most number of ducks in the competition.

He couldn’t score any runs against Chennai on Saturday either. With this, the captain of the Rohit Sharma was dismissed 16 times for no run in the IPL. Rohit was not getting runs while opening. He demoted himself to number three in the batting order against Chennai. Sharma did not succeed in that either. He had to return to the dressing room empty-handed after playing three balls.

So far, Rohit has scored 184 runs in 10 matches in IPL. He scored a half century.

15 ducks so far for Narine, Karthik and Mandeep, 16 for Rohit

Until now, the precedent of getting out for a duck was held by three cricketers including Sunil Narine of Kolkata Knight Riders. They have been out for zero runs 15 times in IPL. The remaining two cricketers are Dinesh Karthik and Mandeep Singh.

Rohit overtook them on Saturday. Like the Mumbai captain, Kolkata’s Narine is also not available in his usual form in the IPL this time. Narine is unable to take wickets with the ball. The mystery of his spin does not shackle the opposing team’s batsmen this time. He could not do anything with the bat.
