Royal Challengers Bangalore happy with their dominating performance

Royal Challengers Bangalore

IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore are pretty happy with the way things went for them in the game against Rajasthan Royals.

Batting first, they posted a total of 171 runs on the board and asked RR to chase down 172 runs to win.

However, the hosts didn’t expect such a horrendous performance as they fell one after the other in the powerplay.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s bowlers kept things tight for the hosts and bowled great lines and lengths to restrict the run flow.

Ultimately, the visitors emerged victorious by a big margin of 112 runs as RR was packed up for a mere 59 runs.

Now, the men in red and gold are looking for a playoff spot and will hope to perform better in their final two league games.

Said Faf after the game,

It was really good. We needed it, in terms of NRR. Hopefully we can set it up for that last game against GT at the Chinnaswamy. Today was really good for the team and I am sure everyone will be extremely motivated for the next two matches. That (setting the intensity high) is a non-negotiable for us. Everyone celebrating with real passion, that is very nice to see.

Royal Challengers Bangalore to play against SRH and GT in final league games

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore has two league games left in the tournament. While the first one is against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad, the other one is at home against the Gujarat Titans.

Moreover, the win against Rajasthan Royals is the biggest one ever for RCB in the history of the IPL which has given their NRR a huge surge.

Previously, it was -0.345 and after the completion of the match, it has now jumped up to +0.166. Furthermore, they finished the game in just 10.3 overs.

On the other hand, Shimron Hetmyer was the top-scorer for RR with his 35 from 19 balls.

These two games are RCB’s last chance of making it to the top 4 of the points table.
